Kit items given out
- Microcontroller used: ESP8266 D1 Mini. See "WLED Controllers" below!
- LEDs: WS2812B "Dream Color" from aliexpress
- High density 1.5mm-spacing are the best LEDs for most projects, that's what was on my hat, staff, jacket, etc!
- Lower density 5cm spacing, 50m is what I gave out.

WLED Controllers
- Promising new WLED all-in-one controller (haven't tried it yet) aliexpress
- has built in mic, should work with new WLED sound-reactive features!
- ESP32 Mini WROOM-32 was running the sign, something like this aliexpress
- What I used for the 800 individually addressed LEDs in the WLED sign
- C3 Pico has onboard charging aliexpress
- runs my staff / jacket / etc
- Classic D1 Mini for helmet/goggles/etc Aliexpress
- not ideal for new designs .. but super inexpensive!
